  Observation. - The door to the "Custodian Room" (Rm 179), which is located right next to the licensed program room, was open. The children in care had access to the hazardous cleaning products stored inside this room. The Licensee must ensure that the children in care do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child. *Resolve by: May 23, 2025.* Specific to this contravention, submit to Licensing by May 27, 2025 a written response confirming how you achieved immediate compliance and your plan for sustaining compliance.

  Observation. - Licensing was not notified of a change in manager. The name of the new manager was already posted in the facility.

• C5.1 - Are healthy eating and nutritional habits promoted and practiced?Non-critical

  Observation. - Licensing observed the weekly snack menu listed on a white board in the main program room. Licensing and the manager discussed implementing a system where a more permanent record of the snack food offered to the children is maintained. This permanent record will not only be available to parents upon request but will enable the Licensee to track the history of the snack food items offered to the children should any food related illnesses or allergies occur.

  Observation. - Ensure that the contents in any generic cleaning spray bottles are clearly labelled. *Correction date: Dec 8/23. - Ensure that the fridge temperature does not exceed 4C for safe food storage and to prevent food borne illness. *Correction date: Dec 8/23. - The resilient material underneath the swings in the school playground must be kept at a 6 inch depth. *Correction response date: Dec 15/23. - Licensing observed cleaning products accessible to the children on a low counter. *Resolved during the inspection.

  Observation. - The current manager name from October 2021 is not on display. - The Licence is posted at the end of several employee check lists, quite a distance from the classroom entrance where families and visitors would arrive.
