Observation. At the time of inspection, the Licensee stated that the outdoor play area is currently scheduled for some renovations. Ensure to immediately notify Licensing of any change in the information provided in the application.

Observation. At the time of inspection, the Licensee described their afternoon activities. During the conversation with the Licensee, some children reported receiving gummies for completing their worksheets. The Licensee has confirmed it is occurring and is used to encourage children's engagement in worksheet activities. Ensure that food is not used as a form of reward.

Observation. The Licensing Officer reviewed the facility records and found a service delivery problem, an incident that is reportable to Licensing. Ensure to notify Licensing within 24 hours of any incidents that meet the definition of the Child Care Licensing Regulation Schedule H.

Observation. - Some children's records were missing required information such as immunization status, doctor/clinic contacts, and emergency contacts other than the parents. Other record keeping methods were reviewed by the Licensing Officer (e.g. attendance records, minor incident log, playground maintenance log, etc.) and they appeared satisfactory.

Observation. - Ensure a 6 ft clearance around climbing equipment is maintained in the outside play yard. This clearance is to provide an area for the children to enter and exit the equipment safely.

Observation. - The Licensing Officer observed an inadequate supply of single use hand towels at the bathroom sink used by the children. *Resolved during the inspection.

Observation. - Ensure that the record of monthly fire drills is displayed as required. Licensing reviewed and discussed policies and procedures including the safety protocols in place for Covid-19 with the licensee.
