  Observation. The licensee's Educator's certificate has expired. The licensee resolved the contravention during the inspection by accessing the renewed certificate on the early childhood educator's registry's website.

  Observation. Radon results are above acceptable levels. This is the third long term test conducted all of which have been above the acceptable limit. A mitigation company has been contracted and mitigation is expected to commence in July 2024.

• C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

  Observation. Some of the child sized stools are unstable and require tightening. This was resolved during inspection.

• C1.2 - Does the licensee operate the facility in a manner that will promote the health, safety and dignity of persons in care?Non-critical

  Observation. Radon results have been submitted and exceed the acceptable level of 200Bq/m3 limit. A mitigation plan must be submitted to licensing.

  Observation. A safety gate located in the facility is not securely affixed to the wall. Children have access to stairs in the out door play space. A toxic substance located in the outdoor storage shed is potentially accessible to children. The play structure located in the outdoor play space does not have six feet of clearance around it.
