  Observation. The existing (back) play area does not have any toys or equipment set up as it is currently not utilized. The manager stated that all toys have been moved to the new outdoor play area. The grass in the back play area will be maintained and the space will remain unused during the summer. The new outdoor play space is enclosed by a fence. There was play table with umbrella in one corner, however the shade provision is insufficient for the number of children in the program. Additional shade structures must be provided to protect children from sunburn and sunstroke. Submit to Licensing by July 17, 2025, confirming that adequate outdoor shade is provided to all children in care.

  Observation. The new outdoor play space featured sand box with toys, bicycles, small cars, climbers and a seesaw. However the entire area lacked adequate age-appropriate toys and equipment to support the physical development of children across different age groups. Submit to Licensing by July 17, 2025, on how you have resolved the issue and ensured that the outdoor space offers a variety of activities to encourage the development of perception and physical skills for children of various ages.

  Observation. The kitchen is not designated or approved for child care. The staff office has an open door adjacent to the kitchen, which makes both rooms accessible to children. The mechanical room is accessible to children in care. The accessible storage/laundry room contains jugs of bleach, cleaners and stacked items.

• C3.1 - Does the facility have sufficient employees who possess adequate training and experience to meet the care, supervision, and needs of the children?Non-critical

  Observation. The manager's criminal record check expired on August 2, 2022 and the renewal status is unknown.

• C1.2 - Does the licensee operate the facility in a manner that will promote the health, safety and dignity of persons in care?Non-critical

  Observation. A radon detector has been deployed for long term testing November through March. Submit a copy of the laboratory result to Licensing Direct for the facility record and completion an inspection report.
