  Observation. There is no evidence that references were checked for one employee. Checking references confirms the staff qualifications, experience and conduct is accurate. Failure to thoroughly screen employees may increase risk to children. Submit to licensing by May 13, 2026, evidence of having checked the staff references, and a plan to ensure that evidence of staff screening is available.

  Observation. One child's medication is expired. Expired medication increases risk to the child due to the medication not being effective causing delayed emergency response. Submit to licensing by May 13, 2026, evidence of having replaced the expired medication.

• C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

  Observation. A child file is missing a medical practitioner name and phone number. Incomplete child files increase risk to children in emergencies. Submit to licensing by May 13, 2026, evidence of having collected the missing information.

• C1.1 - Does the licensee continually inform licensing of any significant changes to the structure or operation of the facility?Critical

  Observation. Licensing was not informed of a licensee contact change. Ensure licensing is informed of licensee contact changes.

• C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

  Observation. One child was missing a medical insurance plan number. This was resolved during the inspection.

• C2.1 - Are written policies and procedures in place to guide employees in all matters regarding the care and supervision of children?Non-critical

  Observation. It was observed there was no evidence of a fire drill being practiced in February , 2025. Submit to licensing the system that will be implemented to ensure fire drills are practiced and recorded monthly.

  Observation. A child who was identified as requiring extra support did not have a care plan.
