  • C7.2 - Is there adequate and appropriate indoor and outdoor space, materials, and equipment?Critical

Observation. The complaint alleged the facility does not have diapering and toileting equipment available in the facilities bathroom. During the inspection the facilities bathroom was inspected. It was observed the bathroom did not contain a covered waste bin, diaper change mat, step stool, potty seats, or a method for hand drying. This was resolved during the inspection. Based on the licensing officers observations during the inspection this was substantiated. Submit to licensing by April 18, 2025, a plan that outlines the procedure of how children will be diapered and toileted at the facility.

  • C8.2 - Is each child provided a comprehensive and coordinated program of developmentally appropriate activities that encourages physical, intellectual, language, emotional, and social development?Non-critical

Observation. The complaint alleged children are not engaging in outdoor play. Based on a review of the posted daily schedule and through conversations with the licensee, the licensing officer determined this was unable to be substantiated. The complaint alleged children under the age of two engage in screen time. The complaint alleged screen time exceeds the allowable limit of 30 minutes per day. Upon entering the facility it was noted there were two TV's on. One was located in the living room and the other one was located in the children's play room area. The TV in the playroom was turned off during the inspection, however the TV in the living room remained on during the inspection. The licensee confirmed TV use has been exceeding the allowable limits. The licensee stated she was unaware that children under two years old are not permitted any screen time. Based on conversations with the licensee during the inspection and the licensing officer's observations this was substantiated. Submit to licensing by April 18, 2025, a screen use policy that outlines how screen use will be used in the facility.

  • C2.1 - Are written policies and procedures in place to guide employees in all matters regarding the care and supervision of children?Non-critical

    Observation. • C6.1 - Are acceptable hygiene practices maintained?Non-critical

Observation. The complaint alleged that children do not wash their hands before and after eating. Through conversations with the licensee during the inspection it was confirmed wet wipes are used to wash children's hands. Based on the information provided through conversations with the licensee and observations made while conducting the inspection the licensing officer has determined the allegation is substantiated. Submit to licensing by April 18, 2025, a plan that explains how you will ensure children are instructed in proper hand washing procedures.

  • C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

The facilities high chairs were inspected, although the high chairs appeared to be adequately clean the safety straps were not attached to the chairs.
