Observation. The name of the Manager is not displayed in a prominent place. To promote transparency and to ensure parents are informed regarding the identity of the Manager, the name of the Manager must be displayed in a prominent place in the facility. Corrected during the inspection.

Observation. There is no evidence that one Educator's certificate is validated. Educator and Assistant certificates must be validated with the BC Early Childhood Educator Registry. Submit by February 06, 2026, confirmation that the certificate has been validated.

Observation. There is no evidence that a play space check had been conducted for several months. Conduct a thorough play space check daily and keep a log of this check. Submit by February 06, 2026, confirmation and evidence that the daily play space check is being conducted and logged.

Observation. On November 05, 2024 the hot water was tested and found to be 51.5 degrees Celsius. On November 08 2024 the Licensee Contact confirmed in writing that the hot water temperature had been adjusted down. January 14, 2025 this Licensing Officer tested the two washrooms on the upper level and found the hot water to be over 49 degrees Celsius.

Observation. A selection of child registration records were reviewed and some required information was missing i.e. emergency contact's name and phone number, and immunization status. Not all children have a digital image that could be used to identify the child in an emergency.

Observation. One employee had a criminal record check, however it was not issued through the Criminal Record Review Program.

Observation. One washroom facility is not on the same level. The Licensee had a long-term exemption, however, this expired in January 2024.

Observation. One employee's criminal record check and two employee's immunization status were missing.

Observation. The hot water was tested and found to be 51.7 degrees Celsius in two bathrooms accessed by children.

Observation. The Licensee did not have a record of every child's immunization status. The majority of the employee records were not stored at the facility.

Observation. One educator did not have their educator certificate displayed.

Observation. One educator's certificate to practice had expired, making this employee a responsible adult.

Observation. Some child registration records were reviewed and several were missing required information such as medical insurance number, immunization status, emergency contact details, and medical practitioner's name and contact details. Several children did not have a digital image that is able to be used in an emergency to identify the child. Employee records are not kept at the facility. Play space checks were not able to be found during the inspection.

Observation. This Licensing Officer was not able to determine if the Licensee had the required employee records, as they were not at the facility and the Manager was away. Two employees confirmed they did not practice the emergency plans in the last year.

Observation. An educator's certificate to practice has expired.

Observation. There was no confirmation that certificates had been validated.

Observation. The facility was closed in January due to a COVID event; this was not reported to Licensing. Immunization status was not recorded for the majority of children. Some children were missing emergency contacts, and many children were missing the start date. Some children did not have a digital image. A care plan was not able to be found during the inspection.

Observation. Criminal record checks in staff files were either missing or expired. Some staffing files were missing immunization status.
