  Observation. A chair was found broken in the outdoor play space and the garden bed was broken from one side posing potential risk of splinters to children. Ensure facility equipment, furniture and supplies are in good repair and free from hazards.

  Observation. Licensing observed inaccurate arrival and departure times in children's attendance record. Ensure daily attendance record indicates the accurate time of arrival and departure of each child.

  Observation. Licensing observed the following: • There was an expired polysporin ointment in First aid kit accessible to children. Licensee indicated that this polysporin is used on children when needed. Ensure a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times. This polysporin was disposed off during the inspection. • There were chairs placed in front of the back emergency exit door. Ensure any equipment, furniture and supplies are not blocking exits. • Puzzle Foam floor mats used as outdoor resilient surfacing were taken apart and scattered around in outdoor play space. The gaps at the bottom of the fence were closed using small plastic garden fence pieces which were falling apart. Although outdoor play space checks were recorded, ensure thorough daily, monthly, and annual inspections of the outdoor play apace are performed to maintain safe outdoor play space.

  Observation. The Licensee indicated that the children watch TV for an hour everyday during quiet time. Ensure screen time is limited to 30 minutes or less per day.

  Observation. A log of minor accidents, illnesses and unexpected events was not available for the Licensing Officer to view at the time of the inspection.

  Observation. Licensing conducted a random inspection of child registration files and found some information missing. This was corrected prior to this inspection report being sent.
