  Observation. Licensing observed the following: *expired medication- The program manager informed that the parent has been made aware of the medication expiry and was reminded to provide a new medication. Given that this medication expired a year ago and its effectiveness is uncertain, please obtain a new medication as soon as possible. *expired epi-pen. The prescription label indicates an expiry date of August 2026 however the device itself indicates an expiry date of October 2025. The program manager will follow up with a child's family to obtain a new medication.

  The entire outdoor play area is enclosed and constructed in a manner that is suitable for the age and development of children, and ensures that children are free of harm. [CCLR Sec. 16(3)(a)(b)]

  Observation. Licensing observed the following: - A broken drain cover. - A broken gate latch on the gate blocking access to the staircase leading to the upper levels of the building. The Manager was aware and had already send in a maintenance request. - Exposed landscape fabric by the water feature that posed a tripping hazard. - A storage container placed in front of the basement stairwell railing. The container presented a risk of a child climbing on top and falling over the railing. The container was moved away from the railing at the time of inspection.
