  Observation. Licensing was informed that an Educator's certificate was posted. This item was previously observed during the routine inspection. During today's inspection, Licensing observed no certification posted for the Educator.

  The entire outdoor play area is enclosed and constructed in a manner that is suitable for the age and development of children, and ensures that children are free of harm. [CCLR Sec. 16(3)(a)(b)]

  Observation. The self-closing hinges on gates are not effective and therefore gates are not providing an effective barrier for the outside play space. The issues pertaining to self-closing hinges on gates must be addressed. A plan was provided informing Licensing how staff will ensure adequate supervision while awaiting repair.

  The licensee keeps a current record for each child showing the information required. [CCLR Sec. 57]

  Observation. A plan was provided stating that staff will be receiving additional training on how to use an electronic system for attendance records. During this process staff will be implementing attendance records on paper. Licensing observed that daily attendance records are being implemented on paper during today's inspection. A child's emergency medical consent does not include information specific to a medical condition and as observed during the previous inspection. Licensing observed children's emergency records without photographs. Licensing recommends adding photographs to children's emergency records.

  Observation. The electronic attendance records for children are not accurate and when reviewing the system with a representative of the Licensee, it is apparent that daily attendance records are not being maintained. Licensing Officer learned that employees were not aware of the problem and that it has been an issue for an undetermined amount of time. As a temporary measure and as implemented during today's inspection, a paper record was utilized. The representative of the Licensee informed that a paper record will be in place until such time the electronic method is sorted. A child's emergency medical consent does not include information specific to a medical condition.
