    Observation. Licensing observed the registration form has been updated, the date of enrollment and the date which the child stops attending is not kept, which assists with ensuring the child's complete records are kept. Licensing also noted a child's file the required a medical practitioner's contact information.

    All persons over the age of 12 that are ordinarily present on the premises while children are present are of good character and the licensee has obtained a criminal record check for each person. [CCLR Sec. 20]

    Observation. Licensing observed a staff person's CRC was completed through the police. The employee is to complete a CRC through the Criminal Records Review Board as noted in the legislation.

    At all times children have immediate access to an employee who holds a valid first aid and CPR certificate, is knowledgeable respecting each child's medical condition, if any, and is capable of communicating with emergency personnel. [CCLR Sec. 23(1)]

    Observation. Licensing observed that there was one educator who their first aid had expired, which is a risk if the individual is on their own with a child who requires first aid treatment.
