  Structural changes have been approved by Licensing. [CCLR Sec. 10(2)]

  Observation. During the inspection, Licensing observed a new gazebo-like structure in the outdoor play space. Licensing also observed most of the logs around the outside play space had either been restored or replaced with new ones. Licensing was not notified of this work. Upon having a conversation with an Educator, Licensing learned that the children had no access to the outdoor space for two weeks. Upon inspection, the structure appears to be solid and stable in its construction. The outside play space is refreshed and inviting.

  For each child requiring extra support, the licensee keeps a current care plan showing the required information. [CCLR Sec. 58(1)(2)]

  Observation. Licensing observed four care plans in place, all of them documented the administration of medication. Licensing observed that these care plans had not been reviewed / updated recently and the medication expiry date or location of where it was stored was not accurate. (Inspected by LO - IT FP)

  All indoor and outdoor play materials and equipment accessible to children are suitable for the age and development of the children, safely constructed, free from hazards and in good repair. [CCLR Sec. 16(4)]

  Observation. Please note the following as observed during today's inspection of the outside play space: * garden beds are scarce of plant material * due to the condition of the trees, it appears that some are struggling or have died off * deteriorating log stump(s) * rot on wood framed garden box

  The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction.  They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]

  Observation. Dirt and dust was observed a the base of the toilets and along the bottom of the tiles in the bathroom. The caulking at the base of the toilets has worn away.
