    Observation. Licensing observed the following: *Liquor/alcohol beverages and bottles being stored in a dining cabinet in the main activity space. *Stationary items and lens cleaner stored in the top drawer of the dining cabinet. *Child safety strap appeared broken on bi-fold closet by the entrance. This safety strap requires repair or a replacement. The Licensee informed that children usually do not play near the dining cabinet where liquor bottles and stationary items are being stored. Discussion took place regarding placing a means of safety lock to demonstrate compliance.

    Observation. During the inspection Licensing observed the assistant physically move the children without advanced notice or talking to the child. For example: * a child was sitting on the floor and the assistant put their arms under a child's arm pits and pulled the child to where they wanted the child to sit * a child was laying on the floor and the assistant physically moved the child into a sitting position

    Observation. Licensing observed that the locks on the cupboards in the kitchen and bathroom did not lock. Children had access to cleaning supplies, cutlery, a grater, and other kitchen equipment.

[CCLR Sec. 19(1)(d)]; Records of staff's work histories have not been obtained. [CCLR Sec. 19(1)(c)]

    Observation. Licensing observed that the Licensee's assistance did not have any documentation other then a criminal record check. The Licensee stated that this assistant would no longer be working in the family child care, and she was looking for another assistant.

    Implementation of the fire drill system is practiced at least once each month, and implementation of the emergency plan is practiced at least once each year. [CCLR Sec. 22(2)(b)(c)]

    Observation. Licensing observed that monthly fire drills have been conducted and recorded, however no emergency drill has been conducted.
