  The group size(s) exceeds that permitted in Schedule E. [CCLR Sec. 34(2)(a)]

  Observation. Licensing was informed that the program had transitioned two children under 36 months to the upstairs program, resulting in more than two children under 36 months being cared for in a single group. A temporary placement is required for two of the children.

  The licensee keeps current records of each employee as required under Sec. 19(1). [CCLR Sec.56(b)]

  Observation. Licensing observed some staff files were incomplete. Each staff file must include the following: (a) a criminal record check for the person; (under the Criminal Review Act. Note: a police criminal record check is not acceptable) (b) character references in respect of the person. (c) a record of the person’s work history. (d) copies of any diplomas, certificates or other evidence of the person’s training and skills; (e.g. class 4, Food Safe etc.) (If an ECE/ECEA certificate is provided it must be verified by the Licensee with the ECE Registry). (e) evidence that the person has complied with the province’s immunization program.
