Marpole Oakridge Family Place Society (Mofp)

This place is a true blessing. The facilities are clean, bright and perfect for a baby/toddler to learn and explore. I began bringing my baby to the drop-in program when she was 2 months old, and at that time she was a little young for the toys and games but I got to socialize with other parents which was great for mental health. Later, as my baby learned to sit up, the centre had toys that motivated her to sit up to reach them. My baby learned to crawl at this centre because she was reaching for a book and has gotten to meet other babies there. The staff is friendly, welcoming and warm and make you feel like you belong and are valued as a parent. Shout-out especially to Yukiko, Lindy, Michelle and Jean. Baby time and infant massage with Carol is also great. Can't recommend enough!

Marpole Oakridge Family Place has been such a supportive and welcoming space for me and my family. The staff are kind, understanding, and genuinely care about parents and children. They create a safe, inclusive environment where families feel seen and supported. The programs and resources offered have been very helpful during a challenging time in my life, and I truly appreciate the encouragement and guidance I’ve received. I highly recommend this place to any parent looking for community and support.

This spot is such a gem for families with babies and toddlers. You can host reasonably priced birthday parties, with a full kitchen and large room with lots of books and toys including dress up costumes, climbing blocks, and sensory/busy boards.

My son and I love this place. We made a lot of friends there. The staff is extremely friendly and has known our names since the first visit. The family place has a good structure. Coffee and snacks are available every day. Volunteers do activities with the kids every day.
