  Observation. The play structure located closest to Camosun Street - the one with a twisting fire pole, has 6 inches of loose fill material at its base as a protective surface. From the platform above, the height measures over seven feet to the ground.

  Medications that staff have agreed to administer are readily accessible to staff and are administered in the correct dosage at the correct times. [CCLR Sec. 53(1)]

  Observation. When reviewing a child's care plan with the Manager, Licensing was informed that the child's diagnosis had not changed yet the medication to support this child was not available to staff when the child was in care.

  Observation. Snow was falling during today's inspection which resulted in no measurement of the depth of the protective surfacing (Fibar / bark mulch) used under some of the playground equipment. The Manager informed that additional bark mulch is needed. When inspecting the climbing equipment, Licensing observed manufacturer's stickers placed on posts demonstrating the height of where the bark mulch is to be provided. Licensing observed that certain areas (underneath the slide, platforms) demonstrate the height of bark mulch when it was last augmented. Based on the information provided and observations of Licensing, additional protective surfacing is needed.
