Observation. LO observed the thermometer in the fridge to be in the Warm zone. The manager stated that she will turn the temperature down in the fridge until the thermometer is in the Safety zone of 0-4 Celsius. We also discussed the importance of ensuring children's lunch bags / snack bag include ice pack or food that requires refrigeration is stored safely.

Observation. June 10, 2026 - LO observed that the outdoor area is fully enclosed. The gate can latch, but it is difficult to close and requires some manipulating (lifting) of the gate. It was also observed that the wooden storage has some broken slats that allow for direct access to a different outdoor space, some of the wood structures and equipment continue to age and it is important that staff utilize an outdoor checklist to ensure the space is safe and equipment is in good repair. There is also a strip of garden in the riding area that could use some cleaning and pruning. April 10, 2025 - LO observed the following in the outdoor play area: • a wooden structure that is leaning towards one side and has parts of the wood broken in some areas which appears to be rotting • exposed nail on wooden structure next the the bridge • large play structure has paint chipping away

Observation. Previous contravention regarding attendance was corrected, but it was observed today that there are three children's emergency cards that do not have emergency contact information that is different from their parent. The regulations state that you must have parents AND emergency contacts.

LO observed the following in the outdoor play area: • a wooden bridge that has paint chipping away on the deck, leaving exposed wood that is slippery and appears to have mildew growing • 2 wooden benches that have paint chipping away • a large climber, a play kitchen, and other toys that appeared heavily soiled and in need of a cleaning These items are no longer free from hazards and in good repair.
