    Observation. Licensing observed the following: - A step on the wooden ladder on the climber is cracking due to wear and tear, showing instability. This item is no longer in good repair. - The "oven door" to the plastic kitchen set used in the sand area is broken, resulting in sharp edges. This item is no longer in good repair. Manager informs that there is a plan to replace this plastic kitchen with a new mud kitchen.

    Observation. Licensing observed the following: - Emergency food and water supply have expired. - There are two fire extinguishers on site. One is current in its servicing. The second fire extinguisher notes that a service is needed "ASAP" and states that it is expired. Licensing recommends inquiring about the number of fire extinguishers needed for the facility, to determine whether the second fire extinguisher will need to be serviced soon.

    Observation. *CCFL observed nails sticking up from a rotten plank on one of the wooden climber platforms. The nails were removed during inspection and a written plan has been received to repair the rotten plank. *The paint on the tops of the railings are badly chipped. A plan to repair this item has been received.

    A healthy and safe environment is provided at all times [CCLR Sec. 13(1)].

    Observation. *Fridge temperature= 4'C-good! *Licensing observed loose chicken wire in the outside play area. The corners of the wire was observed to be sharp. This poses a hazard. *Licensing observed a drain pipe in the outside play area. The end of the pipe was observed to have sharp edges. This poses a hazard. *Licensing observed a gymnasium being used by the children during today's visit. The large cupboards located under the stage were unsecured providing children with access to stored items and a deep hiding place. *Licensing observed a sliding partition that was unsecured in the gymnasium. Behind the barrier Licensing observed a hallway and a corner with a ladder and shelves containing cleaning products. *Licensing observed a power cord loose against a wall in the nap room. This poses an entanglement hazard. *Licensing observed a bucket sitting loose against a dryer plug in. The bucket once provided an effective barrier between the plug in outlet but has become loose and needs to be re-secured.
