Observation. Upon review of employee records it was noted that two did not have immunization statements available for review, all but one record did not have status for COVID-19 immunization. In order to ensure that employees are able to work during an outbreak of a communicable disease preventable by immunization, it is required to have a statement of status of immunization, including COVID-19 immunization on file. Notify Licensing on or by Sept. 11, 2025 of the updating of employee records to include the above noted information.

Observation. Upon review of a sampling of child records it was noted that some did not have Medical Practitioner's name and phone number, one record did not state a child's immunization status. If a child has a medical emergency, the licensee may be required to provide Medical Practitioner information to emergency services. If there is a communicable disease outbreak of an illness preventable by immunization, the Licensee needs to be able to easily identify children who may not be able to attend the facility if they are not immunized for that illness. Notify Licensing on or by Sept. 11, 2025, of the inclusion of the above noted information in child records as necessary. If a family does not have a family doctor they can list a clinic, Urgent Care facility, Emergency Room or tele-health program that they would use if their child required medical attention. The Minor Incident logs, Outdoor Inspection logs, Fire Drill logs, and Attendance records were all reviewed, and appeared to be complete and up-to-date. Emergency Preparedness practice is scheduled for later this month, and is required to be practiced and documented annually.

Observation. One fridge on site was noted to have a temperature of 10 degrees Celsius, above the 4 degree Celsius maximum allowable. To reduce risk of food spoilage and food-borne illness, ensure that the fridges used to store children's food/drink are maintained within a 0-4 degree Celsius range. Notify Licensing of correction to this contravention on or by Sept. 11, 2025.
