    A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): A tall shelf in the bathroom that is not secured.

    Corrective action. The Manager secured the shelf to the wall.

    A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

    Observation. Licensing observed the following; - a ceiling light that is blinking on and off. - a carpet that is all ripped and frayed at the top in many areas.

    Corrective action. A corrective action plan to be submitted to Licensing on how this contravention has been addressed.

    A licensee must ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child.

    Observation. Licensing observed the following that are accessible to children in care; - Christmas lights hanging from the ceiling. Potential strangulation hazard. - bottle of dish soap in an unlocked kitchen cupboard. A staff removed the bottle (CORRECTED)

    Corrective action. A corrective action plan to be submitted to Licensing on how this contravention has been addressed.

    Observation. Upon a review of three children's records, Licensing observed that emergency contact information was not obtained for one child.

    Observation. The following was observed and discussed with staff during inspection: -Multi-Age ( uptairs room): children's personal belongings, i.e. coats are touching one touching one another. LO discussed possible options how this could be addressed.

    Corrective action. Please ensure to provide a healthy and safe environment at all times while children are in care.
