- EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child.
Observation. -Cleaning supplies stored under the cupboard ( kitchen) unlocked and accessible to the children. - Bleach bottle stored by the washroom ( on the floor level) accessible to the children.
Corrective action. Ensure that cleaning supplies are stored out of reach of children.
11200 - CCLR s.17 - STAFFING
A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (f) evidence that the person has complied with the Province's immunization and tuberculosis control programs.
Observation. A staff member's immunization record is missing.
Corrective action. Ensure that all staff files are complete.

Observation. There is a part time staff that works at the facility who has obtained an RCMP criminal record check clearance letter, however, a check must be done through the Criminal Record Review board in Victoria, BC. Application information will be provided to the Licensee.
Corrective action. Please ensure that all staff have the correct criminal record check clearance letter on file.
