A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation. There was a long rope hanging in the outdoor play area accessible to children may be hazardous for children.
Corrective action. Please ensure that healthy and safe environment is provided to children.

A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.
Observation. Out play area is missing patches of grass and there is lot of weed grown. Door screening is broke and has holes in it.
Corrective action. Please ensure that facility is clean and in good repair while children are in care.

A licensee must: (b) have an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.
Observation. Emergency Supplies are insufficient to implement the emergency plan for infants/toddlers.
Corrective action. Licensee will review the supplies to add required items for the children in care to respond to emergencies.
13020 - CCLR s.22(1)(b) - RECORDS AND REPORTING
A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.
Observation. Only two out of five children were signed in at the time of inspection. Licensing discussed the intent of keeping accurate attendance for the safety of children.
Corrective action. Licensee said they will record of attendance at the time of arrival and departure.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (d) name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact.
Observation. Review of children files observed one child was missing medical practitioner's name and phone number on file.
Corrective action. Licensee will obtain the clinic name from the family.
