• RECORDS AND REPORTING

  A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.

  Observation. Attendance record did not show children who were absent.

  Corrective action. Licensee will include all names on the attendance and mark the ones who did not attend for the day as absent.

• POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

  A licensee must: (b) have an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.

  Observation. Licensing observed in the emergency supplies kit, the food has been expired for over 5 years and need to be changed. The kit requires other emergency supplies as well. The licensee said she checks annually to ensure that the supplies kit is good but will purchase new supplies for each child and ensure there are enough for 72 hours.

  Corrective action. Please ensure that the emergency kit supplies are replenished and are checked regularly to ensure they are ready to go, in case of an emergency.

• EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

  A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

  Observation. There is a section of rubber tiles in the backyard that is slippery.

  Corrective action. The Licensee explained they will be power washing the tiles.
