  The licensee must (b) review the care plan at least once each year with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent.

  Observation. Two care plans were not reviewed annually with the parent or any person requested to by the parent.

  Corrective action. The manager already contacted the parents to update the plans and awaiting response.

• STAFFING

  A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (a) a criminal record check for the person.

  Observation. One staff did not have copy of Criminal Records Clearance (CRC) on file and one staff CRC was not site specific.

  Corrective action. Please ensure that all staff files are complete.

• EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

  A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

  Observation. A tall toy kitchen with fridge need to secured to prevent injuries in the event of earthquake or emergency.

  Corrective action. Please ensure to provide a safe and healthy environment to children while in care.

  Observation. Licensing reviewed four staff files. A minimum of two character references were not obtained for one of these employees.
