  Without limiting subsection (1), a licensee must ensure that (a) children attending a community care facility are divided into groups, with each group having no more children than that permitted in Schedule E.

  Observation. Attendance documents reviewed identified that the program exceeded the capacity of children in care on June 26. 2025. The LO reviewed this in depth with the manager regards the expectations.

  Corrective action. Ensure children attending the facility are divided into groups with each having no more than permitted in Schedule E.

• EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

  A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

  Observation. - Small play room closet door needs to be secured from finger pinching. - There was high concentration of bleach in the water. The beach smelled very strong.The staff used the bleach solution to clean the table after child had sat down for his snack.

  Corrective action. Ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided while children are in care.

• LICENSING

  A licensee must display in a prominent place in the community care facility the certificate, or a copy of the certificate, of any educator or assistant employed to work in the community care facility.

  Observation. Staff ECEA certificate was not posting in the facility.

  Corrective action. Ensure all staff certificates are prominently posted in the facility

• POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

  A licensee must ensure that the policies and procedures referred to in subsection (1) are implemented by employees.

  Observation. As per facility's screen time/use policy, children will not be exposed to any screen time. Upon arrival, Licensing observed that children were watching a movie on computer.

  Corrective action. Please ensure that staff is implementing policies and procedures for the operation of the facility.

• STAFFING

  A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility as (a) an educator or an assistant unless the person holds a certificate issued under Division 2 [Employee Qualifications], which must be verified by the system maintained by the early childhood educator registry. (Educator or assistant certificate validation)

  Observation. Review of 3 staff files observed manager and one staff was missing verification of their ECE certificate on file.

  Corrective action. Please ensure staff files are complete.
