A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

Observation. The following was noted within the outdoor play space: -Cover(tarp) for sandbox is in disrepair and not able to be used to cover the sand boxes. -Multiple wood stumps and a log placed along the fence. As fence around the play space is quite short, there is a risk that the children could then climb over the fence when stepping on these stumps and logs.

Corrective action. Please provide a written response to indicate how you will address the contravention noted above on or before March 12, 2026

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (d) name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact.

Observation. Out of six child files, one file was missing the child's MSP number, doctor's name & phone number and emergency contact(s).

Corrective action. Manger explained they have requested this information from the family.
