    Observation. Significant changes have been made to the outdoor play space; however, Licensing was not notified prior to these changes. Notification to Licensing is required for any changes to the information submitted with the original application before those changes occur. Submit a Notification of Change, including an updated site plan reflecting the current outdoor play space configuration, by June 19, 2026. The name of the Manager is not displayed in a prominent place. The Manager’s name must be posted in a clearly visible place to identify the individual responsible for the day-to-day operations of the facility. Submit written confirmation by June 19, 2026, that the Manager’s name is displayed in a prominent place at the facility.

  • C3.1 - Does the facility have sufficient employees who possess adequate training and experience to meet the care, supervision, and needs of the children?Non-critical

    Observation. Some employees have RCMP Criminal Record Checks (CRC) on file, rather than the required CRC completed through the Criminal Record Review Program (CRRP). The Licensee confirmed that no staff hold a valid CRC completed through the CRRP. Submit written confirmation by June 19, 2026, that all employee's criminal record checks have been completed through the CRRP and have been added to their files. Two casual employees do not have employee files, and several other employees have missing records, including reference checks, work history, certifications, and immunization status. Ensure all required employee records are collected prior to any individual commencing work with children. Submit written confirmation by June 19, 2026, that the missing records have been added to employee files.

    Observation. The name and phone number of a medical practitioner is missing from one child's records. Complete and up-to-date records must be maintained for each child. Submit written confirmation by June 19, 2026, that the missing information has been obtained and added to the child’s records. Permission to contact a medical practitioner or ambulance in an emergency is missing for some children. Written consent must be provided for employees to call a medical practitioner or ambulance in the case of an accident or illness if the parent cannot be immediately reached. Submit written confirmation by June 19, 2026, that the missing consent has been added to the children’s records. A photo or digital image is missing for several children. A current photo or digital image that can be used to identify the child in an emergency is required for each child. Submit written confirmation by June 19, 2026, that the missing photo or digital image has been obtained and added to the children’s files.

    Observation. Children's drink bottles are only washed and sanitized once a week. Children’s drink bottles must be washed and sanitized daily to prevent the rapid growth of bacteria. Submit by June 19, 2026, confirmation that children's drink bottles are washed and sanitized daily.

    Observation. The outdoor play space is not fully enclosed, as a section of fencing has been removed during playground renovations and the large perimeter gates are left open. The outdoor play space must be enclosed in a manner that ensures children are unable to leave the area unsupervised. The large perimeter gates were closed during the inspection, fully enclosing the outdoor play space. Corrected during the inspection.
