    Observation. During today's inspection, Licensing Officer observed that the children's nap cots, along with the children’s bedding, were stacked on top of one another which poses a risk of cross contamination.

    Medications that staff have agreed to administer are readily accessible to staff and are administered in the correct dosage at the correct times. [CCLR Sec. 53(1)]

    Observation. Licensing Officer observed medication for a child to be administered by staff did not have a Request for Administration of Medication form on file. In addition, the medication did not have a label which includes the name of the child, name of the medication, prescription number, dosage and time to be administered and the expiry date.

    The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction.  They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]

    Observation. Top of the landing on the upper level of the facility, Licensing Officer observed 4 yellow non-slip tiles appear to be lifting which poses a tripping hazard.

    Observation. On the main and upper level of the facility, Licensing Officer observed two fire extinguishers which have expired and are in need of a service

    Observation. Licensing Officer observed the following: -photographs of 2 children appear to be outdated -date of enrolment is not kept for 1 child -emergency contact is not kept for 2 children -medical insurance plan number is not kept for 2 children -immunization status is not kept for 10 children

    Observation. Licensing observed that the program was not following the schedule provided to licensing for review. The Licensee is offering a variety of programs which is at the same time as noted in their activity calendar and affects the required outdoor time for children enrolled in the program.
