Licensing observed the following: The facility was not following a specific cleaning and sanitizing procedure during the inspection, and was not following an approved dishwashing and sanitizing method when a facility does not have a dishwasher, which presents a risk of cross contamination and the spread of germs. The main room and kitchen area for the program was cluttered and unorganized, which presents a health and safety risk.

Observation. During today's visit, manager advised LO that there have been staffing changes in the facility. LO was advised that a character reference check has been obtained for one staff however they have since left and are no longer working at the facility. With regards to the criminal record checks for 2 staff, the manager advised that one has been obtained. Manager shared with the LO that a new staff was hired last week and a character reference and criminal record check have not been obtained. Manager to contact the registry to inquire on the status of the criminal record check for the new staff and advise Licensing. This issue of non-compliance remains outstanding.
