    Observation. Licensing observed the following: There was not a cleaning and sanitizing procedure to reduce the spread of illness and germs. The bedding from the stacked cots was touching. Licensing is a concerned there is a risk of cross contamination and the spread of germs.

    Observation. Licensing observed there is a wooden barrier on one side of the playground which does not provide a 1.8 meter (six feet) safety zone around the playground equipment.

    The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction.  They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]

    Observation. In Classroom 1 and 2, LO observed that the vinyl baseboards appear to be in poor repair. The vinyl base boards are coming away from the wall exposing the glue and drywall.

LO reviewed all staff records and the following was observed: -immunization status has not been obtained for 4 staff -character references have not been obtained for 4 staff -records of staff's work histories have not been obtained for 3 staff -ECE certificate posted for 1 staff has expired. Manager advised that they a renewal application has been submitted to the registry. -criminal record checks have not been obtained for 1 staff. In addition, a criminal record check for another staff has expired and is addressed to a College.

    Observation. LO observed that a fire drill was not practiced for the month of February. Discussion took place with manager with regards to the regulation states that a fire drill is practiced each month with the children and staff.
