  • PHYSICAL, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHING / EnvironmentNon-critical

The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction.  They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]

Observation. Discussion with Manager regarding the importance of ongoing maintenance. Due to the age of the space, and additional items being added it may reduce the usable space and will make it harder to clean and disinfect the space. LO recommends that staff reduce items not being used. There is a tall shelving that is not secure to the wall, and there are areas where the floor is peeling. LO is aware that the Manager is working on a plan to address the floor as this may be an ongoing issue.
