  The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction.  They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]

  Observation. The facility is kept clean and appears to have a plan for equipment and materials. But, there are some areas in the space that are showing the need for repair - baseboards under the window is dented and appears to have been used to stand on so children can see out the window. This could be a hazard to children as it is metal and the areas that are bending have sharp edges. There are also some shelves (wooden equipment) that have exposed particle board or wood that would not be able to be sanitized.

  There is an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency. [CCLR Sec. 22(1)(b)]

  Observation. LO observed that the Fire Extinguisher tag states that it was due for service on August 17, 2024.
