    Observation. As discussed, the fire extinguisher was due May 2023 and must be inspected annually.

    Implementation of the fire drill system is practiced at least once each month, and implementation of the emergency plan is practiced at least once each year. [CCLR Sec. 22(2)(b)(c)]

    Observation. While fire drills are conducted monthly, the manager stated that they do not conduct annual emergency drills. LO and Manager discussed a variety of emergency drills that can be done annually.

    The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction.  They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]

    Observation. In the children's washroom, LO observed that the diaper change mat appears to have a few holes along the seam. The diaper mat appears to be in poor repair and no longer easy to clean.

    Observation. LO observed that a child with aa asthma diagnosis did not have a care plan completed. Discussion took place with manager with regards to having a care plan in place for any child that requires any extra medical supports.

    Observation. LO reviewed all children's records and the following was observed: -a telephone number for a medical practitioner has not been obtained for 3 children -emergency contact number on file for 3 children is that of the child's parent. Discussion took place with manager with regards to having an emergency contact on file other than a parent in the event of an emergency.

    Observation. LO observed that ECE certificates have not been verified with the registry for 2 staff
