June 11, 2025 - children's files were reviewed and are not complete for all children. Some items missing include - Care Card, Dr. information, photo, emergency contact (other than parent). It was also noted that emergency cards are taken with group when they are not on site. Nov. 22, 2024 - Children's files are not complete with most children missing at least one item. The emergency cards are in some files, with some children having no emergency information or updated photos. There are also some children with no immunization status, emergency pick up, doctor information or medical insurance plan / care card.

Observation. Recurring - June 10, 2026 - LO reviewed 4 staff files, two are missing immunization status and one is missing references. January 15, 2026 - Two staff files were reviewed and are missing - immunization status, reference and one staff has an expired First Aid. These staff rotate their shifts, therefore children are being supervised at various times during the day by a staff without valid First Aid certification. It was also observed that there was a BI on site with a child, no information was available for this staff. Files must be kept for anyone working with children.

The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction. They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]
Observation. January 14, 2026 - The bathroom appears to have had a deep clean, but the stools continue to look discoloured and there is wear and tear noted. June 11, 2025 - The bathroom is available in the hallway. Due to aging of this space, the bathroom is showing signs of wear and tear, the flooring is chipped and paint is chipping. LO also observed that the step stools in the bathroom require a deep clean as does the entire space.

Observation. Recurring - There are two care plans posted and staff showed LO inhaler (with medication form) for a child with asthma. Of the two posted, staff stated that one child no longer requires the care plan as the parent verbally informed them that the care plan is not needed. The second child's plan show the use of blood testing and medication. When the staff showed the kit that the family sends daily, it was also stated that they do not need to use these. The child with Asthma, their care plan was not clear on when the child would require the inhaler (which is provided by the family). June 11, 2025 - There is one Care Plan on site for a child with Asthma. Staff stated that no inhaler is on site as it is not regularly needed. Care plan should outline what staff need to know in all aspects of the child's care. Information may be included that outline when inhaler is needed and what to do if staff see any of the signs.
