  Observation. Emergency Cards were reviewed in each of the rooms (6 rooms), while most information was completed, each room had at least one card missing information, such as - Emergency contact, allergy information, Doctor information, Medical insurance plan.

  Observation. There are different types of log books available, but there may be gaps for non-reportable incidents and those reported to parents. LO has attached information on Log Books to this report inspection email.

  There is current log of minor incidents, illnesses and unexpected events, that did not require medical attention and were not reportable incidents described in Schedule H. [CCLR Sec. 56 (1)(f)]

  Observation. While there are log books in each room, there is limited information, and from observations, it does not appear that minor incidents or unexpected events are noted. This includes minor incidents (any time first aid / ice / cold compress is used) and/or times when you have to stop what you are doing to intervene. Anything that you want to note or track can also be noted in your room log or an individual child log book.

  Prior to employing staff the manager has met with each person and has obtained the appropriate documentation. [CCLR Sec. 19(1)]

  Observation. While there is a chart in place for missing documents, there are staff files with a missing CRC and no proof of validation for ECE certificate.

  Children are provided with a comprehensive and coordinated program of indoor and outdoor activities that is designed for the development and care of the children, and is appropriate for the age and development of the children. [CCLR Sec. 44(1)(a)(b)(c) and Schedule(G)]

  Observation. In one of the rooms, equipment was removed due to a child throwing and misusing toys. The equipment that is left is geared towards a younger group, and is not adequate in amount to meet the needs of a group this size.

  Observation. LO reviewed children's files and noted that some of the files do not include immunization status, emergency contact (other than parent), medical insurance plan or care card. It was also noted that the attendance (kept on an app on the ipad in each room) was not accurate.
