  Observation. Licensing observed while the program has initiated a steps in case of an emergency, Licensing did not see steps in place to respond and recover from any emergency.

  Maintenance of Equipment: A log is kept of all inspections, maintenance and repairs. [Director of Licensing Standard of Practice - Safe Play Space]

  Observation. Licensing observed that the program was not keeping a log of all inspections, maintenance and repairs for the outdoor play space.

  Prior to employing staff the manager has met with each person and has obtained the appropriate documentation. [CCLR Sec. 19(1)]

  Observation. Originally found out of compliance on March 12, 2024 Licensing observed a staff's certificate of training was not on file or the documentation stating the 20 hours of training had been completed.

  Implementation of the fire drill system is practiced at least once each month, and implementation of the emergency plan is practiced at least once each year. [CCLR Sec. 22(2)(b)(c)]

  Observation. Licensing observed while the staff are conducting fire drills on a monthly basis they have not implemented an emergency drill practice for at least once each year.

  Copies of any diplomas, certificates or other evidence of the person's training and skills have not been obtained. [CCLR Sec. 19(1)(d)]

  Observation. Staff files were complete for all but one sub - who had a different person's certificate of training in their file. Manager stated that they will review and talk to the LC to replace with the appropriate certificate.

  Medications that staff have agreed to administer are readily accessible to staff and are administered in the correct dosage at the correct times. [CCLR Sec. 53(1)]

  Observation. two children have care plans for allergy, one of the children's epi pen has expired.

  The licensee has written parental consent to call a medical practitioner or ambulance in case of accident or illness, in cases where the parent cannot immediately be reached. [CCLR Sec. 57(3)(a)]

  Observation. It was observed that when program is off site, the emergency cards used by facility may not contain all the required information, and that consent for emergency care is not available.

  Observation. LO observed a care plan for a child with a life threatening allergy did not have a request for administration of medication form on file.

  Hazardous objects and substances are inaccessible to children. [CCLR Sec 17]

  Observation. LO observed an open shelving unit above the children's cubbies containing various heavy items including facility equipment, materials, supplies and toys which poses a hazard if one of these objects were to fall. This is a reoccurring issue from the previous inspection.
