  Observation. In the children's washroom, Licensing Officer observed no cleaning solution available for cleaning and sanitizing the space. However, a spray bottle containing a diluted cleaning solution was available in another washroom. Discussion took place with regards to appropriate cleaning solutions for use in a program such as soap and water for cleaning and bleach and water solution for sanitizing. Licensing is concerned with the current solution in place as there is a potential risk of cross contamination and the spread of germs.

  Observation. While the facility has an emergency plan in place, Licensing Officer did not observe an emergency kit containing emergency supplies such as food and water rations for children and staff

  Observation. Licensing Officer observed that a record of the manager's work history has not been obtained

  Observation. Licensing Officer observed no evidence of fire drills practiced for the month of August through November

  At all times children have immediate access to an employee who holds a valid first aid and CPR certificate, is knowledgeable respecting each child's medical condition, if any, and is capable of communicating with emergency personnel. [CCLR Sec. 23(1)]

  Observation. Licensing Officer observed no evidence of a valid first aid certificate was available for review for the manager

  Observation. Licensing did not observe evidence indicating that the fire extinguisher was serviced as required.

  Observation. Licensing reviewed the children's files and observed that current records showing the information required were not kept.

  Observation. Licensing observed no evidence to demonstrate that the emergency plan is practiced at least once a year and fire drills are practiced at least once each month.
