EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): 2 metal plated heaters where turned on and were hot to touch in the 30 months to school age program. They were placed in various areas close to the children's shelves and activities. The staff removed the heaters during the inspection.
Corrective action. The Manager discussed the plan with the staff for heating the room with the heaters but not having them accessible to the children when hot.

HYGIENE AND COMMUNICABLE DISEASE
A licensee must establish a program to instruct children in, and to practise the rules of, health and hygiene.
Observation. Staff have not been disinfecting the diaper change surface after each use.
Corrective action. The Manager will inform all staff that the diaper change surface will need to be cleaned after each diaper change.
