• C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

  Observation. A medical care plan for one child who requires an Epi-Pen does not have evidence it was developed in consultation with the parent. Evidence care plans have been developed in consultation with the parent are required to ensure the health and safety of the child while in care. A response is required by June 5, 2026 to confirm evidence has been obtained as required.

• C3.1 - Does the facility have sufficient employees who possess adequate training and experience to meet the care, supervision, and needs of the children?Non-critical

  Observation. Employee files are incomplete. One employee file does not have sufficient character references on file. This is a reoccurring contravention originally found out of compliance on November 18, 2024. It is the responsibility of the Licensee to ensure two or more character references are obtained for any employee prior to employment to ensure the person is suitable to work with children. A response is required by June 5, 2026 to confirm employee files are complete.

• C7.2 - Is there adequate and appropriate indoor and outdoor space, materials, and equipment?Critical

  Observation. During the inspection of the outdoor play space Licensing observed an inappropriate amount of protective surfacing both under the swings and at the bottom of the slide. Ensure the woodchips have been replenished in those areas to ensure the children's safety when using the play equipment.

  Observation. The Licensee’s system for ensuring that employee files contain all of the legislated requirements was noted to be ineffective. Licensing found staff files to be incomplete. Missing items included: Immunization status, validation of certifications, work history, references, immunization status and some Criminal Record Checks.

  Observation. Licensing observed the medication forms used by the facility do not account for the amount of medication given at the time of administration.

• C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

  Observation. During the inspection Licensing observed a storage room door that was not locked leaving hazardous materials accessible to the children. Ensure hazardous materials are made inaccessible to the children.

• C1.1 - Does the licensee continually inform licensing of any significant changes to the structure or operation of the facility?Critical

  Observation. Manager's name was not displayed in the facility.

• C3.1 - Does the facility have sufficient employees who possess adequate training and experience to meet the care, supervision, and needs of the children?Non-critical

  Observation. It was observed that the educator's certificate has not been verified by the director of the Early Childhood Educator registry.
