  Observation. Licensing observed in the outdoor play area, there was a hole in the wooden chip flooring between the garden box and the fence. (tripping hazard)

  Observation. Licensing observed fire extinguishers expired on September 24, 2025.

  For each child requiring extra support, the licensee keeps a current care plan showing the required information. [CCLR Sec. 58(1)(2)]

  Observation. Licensing observed two children requiring extra support however no care plans showing the required information on site.

  A healthy and safe environment is provided at all times [CCLR Sec. 13(1)].

  Observation. The area immediately outside the building which includes the pathway to the exit was filled with stacked boxes of supplies for the restaurant, these boxes impede the emergency exit and pose a risk of falling on children as they travel though the area. There are also large items stored in the playground impeding the useable space. The door to the restaurant and other non-childcare areas were wide open - this is a shared space with the daycare that the children travel through to go outside, this shared space was very cluttered impeding safe travel. There are janitorial supplies stored in the washroom that are accessible to children ( brooms, dust pan, mop), there are multiple hazards present due to children's access to the restaurant kitchen. There is a cover on the sand box however, it was not effective in completely covering the area. There are tools and equipment stored outside accessible to children.

  Observation. There are also large items stored in the playground impeding the useable space. There are items stored beside the crib in the nap room that could pose a risk of falling into the crib on a child. The door to the restaurant and other non-childcare areas were wide open - this is a shared space with the daycare that the children travel through to go outside. There are janitorial supplies stored in the washroom that are accessible to children ( brooms, dust pan, mop). There is a cover on the sand box however, it was not effective in completely covering the area.

  The entire outdoor play area is enclosed and constructed in a manner that is suitable for the age and development of children, and ensures that children are free of harm. [CCLR Sec. 16(3)(a)(b)]

  Observation. The landscaping fabric below the wood chips is showing creating tipping hazards.

  Observation. Janitorial supplies in washroom accessible to children. Electrical cord on ground in outdoor space poses a tripping hazard. When traveling from the indoor play space to the outdoors, children move through the back kitchen area of the adjacent restaurant. The door to the restaurant was open. Children have access to an area with janitorial supplies, unsecured shelves above 4 feet with various items stored on such.

No violations recorded at this inspection.

  Observation. The door to the restaurant / kitchen was wide open and accessible to children as they would move from the indoor to outdoor areas. The bathroom was being used for storage of chairs and toys. The hand washing sink was not available as it had bins of toys on it. Not all cleaning / sanitizing bottles were labelled. There are some bottles with a Dustbane label ( this is a disinfectant)

  Observation. The program indicated that they do not do playground checks nor do they keep records / log of outdoor inspections. Licensing to provide resource.
