  Observation. There is no log of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.

  Staff are trained in the implementation of the fire drill system and the emergency plan, including the use of any equipment noted in the fire drill system and emergency plan. [CCLR Sec. 22(2)(a)]

  Observation. Fire extinguisher service is past due (service due date was in June).

  Observation. When LO arrived, there were 2 ECEA staff working. There was not an ECE on site. This program has applied for one of the ECEA's to work under an exemption for ECE.

  Children are not left unsupervised while consuming food or drink. [CCLR Sec. 48(4)(c)]

  Observation. One child was walking around eating snacks and was not visible to staff at all times. Another child sat down at an outdoor table and was served some snack - no direct adult supervision provided.

  A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility as an educator or an assistant unless the person holds a certificate issued under Division 2 [Employee Qualifications], which must be verified by the licensee using a system established and maintained by the director of the early childhood educator registry [CCLR Sec. 19(4)(a)]

  Observation. Please ensure that all staff have qualifications verified.
