Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): In the sink cabinet located in the classroom, a container of bleach with a cap was accessible to children. The cabinet was locked by a staff during the inspection. This item is a repeat contravention on routine inspection #CGEE-CKRRRZ 01-Nov-2022.

    Corrective action. Ensure hazardous substances are not accessible to children.

    Observation. The deck is sometimes used in the summer before parental pick-up. It was never approved to be used as an outdoor play space (OPS) due to inadequate: • space (23 children requires ≥ 138 m² of OPS area) • perimter fencing (rooftop OPS MUST have perimeter fencing that is ≥ 8' high from the last foothold)

    Corrective action. The deck must be made inaccessible to children @ all times.

    Observation. REPEAT VIOLATION from FIR #CGEE-BYF8VV (17/Feb/2021): An employee's ECEA certificate was not verified.

    Corrective action. ECE/ECEA certificates must be verified ( https://earlychildhoodeducator.gov.bc.ca/Public/CertAndRenewal/Certificate_Validation.aspx ) for all new hires & again upon current employees' renewal.
