  • RECORDS AND REPORTING

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.

Observation. Repeat violation from FIR #CGEE-AZXNPZ (21/Jun/2018). GCC (SA) children are signed in upon AM drop-off &/or PM pick-up. However, transfer of care to school (AM) & the licensee (PM) is unaccounted for on school days.

Corrective action. Accurate attendance records keep employees accountable re. # of children in care, & assist 1st responders in the event of an emergency. If care is provided during school closure (PDD, winter/spring/summer break), a single sign-in & sign-out time is required. On regular school days, GCC (SA) children must be signed: 1) In upon AM drop-off (if attending). 2) Out upon transfer of care from licensee to school (children are in the licensee's care during transporation until the bell rings @ 08:50). 3) In upon transfer of care from school to licensee (bell rings @ 15:00). 4) Out upon PM pick-up.
