Health & safety record

1 critical and 5 non-critical findings recorded since 2021.

June 20, 2025Routine Inspection3 non-critical
  • C3.1 - Does the facility have sufficient employees who possess adequate training and experience to meet the care, supervision, and needs of the children?Non-critical

Observation. Employee files were inspected. The file for a substitute educator contained expired criminal record check results, which may put the safety of the children at risk. A licensee must ensure that current records are kept for each employee. Provide evidence to Licensing by July 4, 2025 that new criminal record check results have been received. The file for a substitute educator was missing evidence of compliance with the Province's immunization and tuberculosis control program, which may put the health of children at risk. A licensee must not employ a person unless all required information is obtained. Provide evidence to Licensing by July 4, 2025 that the employee file is complete.

  • C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

Observation. A random sampling of children's records were inspected. One record was missing the name and phone number of an emergency contact other than the parent. This may present a risk to the child in the case of an emergency if the parents cannot be reached. A licensee must keep records of all required information. Provide evidence to Licensing by July 4, 2025 that the child's records are complete.

  • C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

Observation. The outdoor play space was inspected. The wood on the back bumper of the train structure has deteriorated and is no longer stable, which may cause a child to be injured. A licensee must ensure that all equipment accessible to children is in good repair. Provide evidence to Licensing by July 4, 2025 that the train structure presents no risk of injury to a child.
