Observation. During the inspection staff were preparing to take some children by bus to the public library. A notification to licensing of a change to the 'transportation safety plan' that was approved during the application phase is required. Include details about staffing, supervision, safety, and routes in the new plan.

Observation. A system for recording fire drill practices exists, however staff have not participated in a fire drill since the facility opened. A method of ensuring that fire drills are practiced and recorded monthly, is required.

Observation. One staff member's file was missing an indication that references had been checked. Evidence that reference checks have been completed is required for all employees.

Observation. Some children's records were missing an indication of the sex of the child. This information is required according to the Child Care Licensing Regulation.
