  A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (c) a record respecting compliance with section 22 (2) (b) and (c) [emergency training and equipment].

  Observation. Records of the emergency and fire drills prior to September 2022 were unavailable for review. This is a repeat contravention.

  Corrective action. Ensure a current record is kept respecting compliance with section 22(2)(b) and (c) of the CCLR.

  A licensee must display in a prominent place in the community care facility both the licence, including any terms or conditions of the licence, and the name of the manager.

  Observation. Licensing noted the name of the manager was not displayed in the facility.

  Corrective action. Ensure the name of the manager is displayed in a prominent place in the facility.

  In respect of a record referred to in this Division, a licensee must (a) keep in a single place at the community care facility the records referred to in sections 56 to 58.

  Observation. The facility policies and procedures, and records of fire and emergency drills were unavailable for review.

  Corrective action. Ensure records referred to in sections 56-58 are kept in a single location at the facility.

  A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (a) a criminal record check for the person.

  Observation. Licensing reviewed 4 staff files and noted the following: - One criminal record check was not site specific - One criminal record check was not completed through the Criminal Records Review Program

  Corrective action. Ensure criminal record checks are obtained prior to employment.

  A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (c) a record of the person's work history.

  Observation. Upon review of 2 staff files, Licensing observed that a record of work history was missing for one staff.

  Corrective action. Please ensure a record of work history (resume) is obtained from staff prior to employment.

  Observation. Upon review of 2 staff files, Licensing observed that a record of immunization status was missing for one staff.

  Corrective action. Please ensure a record of immunization status is obtained from staff prior to employment.
