  • EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

    A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

    Observation. There are three areas of the carpet on both sides of the facility that are in poor repair , the carpet appears old and is showing signs of wear, the linoleum is stained with black marks and rust on both sides of the facility.the garden hose is stored on the ground in a pile and is a potential tripping hazard.

    Corrective action. please ensure the flooring is cleaned to removed stains and the carpet replaced or repaired . please ensure the garden hose is stored in a manner that is not a tripping hazard.

    Observation. 2 of 4 staff working did not have their educator or assistant certificate posted. It was also observed that the Managers certificate that was posted expired.

    Corrective action. Ensure that each certificate of an educator or assistant is displayed in a prominent place in the community care facility.
