    Observation. There are no lead in drinking water testing results on file for this facility. This testing is important to ensure that drinking water is not health hazard. Complete this testing and submit testing results to licensing direct on or before September 14, 2025.

  • C9.1 - Are there plans and actions in place to ensure medications are stored and administered properly?Non-critical

    Observation. Medication that was outlined in two different children's care plans was not on site at the facility. If a child requires a medication that is outlined in their care plan, that medication must be obtained from parents by the licensee and stored in a safe place where it is readily available to the employees for administration as needed. Provide evidence that this issue has been corrected on or before August 18 2025.

    Observation. Two child files were missing medical practitioner information. This is required for all children's records. Submit evidence that this issue has been corrected on or before August 22, 2025.

    Observation. Employees ECE/ECEA certificates have not been verified through the ECE Registry website.

  • C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

    Observation. 1 child record did not have an emergency contact listed. A contact, other than the child's parents must be listed in case of emergency. Care plans have not been created for 2 children that require extra support. Care plans outline for employees any modifications, guidance, medications, strategies, etc that are needed for a child that requires extra support so that they can receive care that supports their health, safety and dignity at all times. Log of daily play space inspections not kept. A log is required to demonstrate that daily play space inspections are occurring.

  • C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

    Observation. Hazardous items were accessible to children- personal care products labelled "keep out of reach of children" in the washroom and bleach and water cleaning solution on counter. These issues were corrected during inspection. Hot water exceeded 49 degrees Celsius. This may cause injury to children.

    Observation. Emergency plan not practiced. Substitute employee did not have the following records on file: Resume, references, immunization information, criminal record check. The licensee has not verified certificates of educators using the ECE Registry system as per section 19(4)(a)

    Observation. Child record missing medical practitioner information. This was corrected during inspection. 2 child records missing immunization status. Licensee stated that one employee does have a cleared criminal record check , however a copy is kept at another building and not available for review on site.

    Observation. Slide in the outdoor play area has a steep drop at the bottom onto the ground, with no protective surfacing. A plan has been put in place to mitigate risk until this issue has been addressed.
