  • C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

Observation. Hot water was tested during inspection and was found to be 58 degrees Celsius. The Child Care Licensing Regulation requires that children do not have access to water exceeding 49 degrees Celsius in order to prevent the risk of injury. Licensing must receive written confirmation by May 19, 2025 that this has been corrected. The diaper change pad currently being used was observed to be torn at time of inspection. The Child Care Licensing Regulation requires that all furniture and equipment be clean and in good repair. A torn change pad is difficult to sanitize effectively and poses a risk of bacteria growth. Licensing must receive written confirmation by May 19, 2025 that this has been corrected.
