  • EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

    A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

    Observation. Licensing observed the following: -a dome climber that was less than 3 feet from a cement wall or rock barrier. -shaving cream with a warning label to keep out of reach of children being used with children -emergency equipment including food stored in a suitcase next to a toilet

    Corrective action. Ensure that a healthy and safe environment is maintained. Licensing provided a copy of the Director of Licensing Standard of Practice Safe Play Space.

  • HYGIENE AND COMMUNICABLE DISEASE

    A licensee, other than a licensee who provides a care program described as either Preschool (30 Months to School Age) or Group Child Care (School Age), must have in a community care facility a sturdy surface for changing diapers, located outside the food preparation area, next to (a) a covered container for soiled clothing.

    Observation. The facility did not have a covered container for soiled clothing or diapers.

    Corrective action. Ensure that there is a covered container next to the diapering surface.
